We are a social arts organization that promotes creativity. We use the art of dance to advocate creativity that inspires society.
Equity Statement
Equity is the bloodline of Urban Souls. As an arts organization that is dedicated to representing Black people and telling Black stories, we are amongst those who are closest to inequity. Whether we are witnessing it or experiencing it, we have a unique perspective of the undoable harm that inequity can cause. To that end, we remain committed to creating a space that is welcoming, safe, and inclusive where every person can bring their full selves in our room every time.The Mission
The mission of Urban Souls is to foster connection and build community through dance, education, and advocacy. Urban Souls builds upon community assets to tell stories of the Black experience, prioritizing racial equity and advancing healing and justice.The What

The Why
Everything we do we believe in challenging societies views that separate us. We believe in thinking differently. We believe art can transform people, and people transform the world.
The How
The way we challenge societies views that separates us is by creating a wide spectrum of artistic works that promotes diversity, love, and understanding differences.
